How you can use ACRO

1. If you don't have an editing program for a certain kind of media (sound, video, pictures), you can download one from here.

2. Download clips from ACRO

3. Mash em up and remix in an editing program of your choice to make great new stuff and display it to the world. Or mix it with your own stuff.

4. We'd like to know about what you do with the material in ACRO and are happy to hear from you about what you've done and how we might improve things for you.

This site is for people looking for audio, video, and imagery that can be used for creating new digital art, for education, or just for fun. ACRO has been set up as a research facility in the UQ Business School to help understand the potentials of creativity in digital environments with a particular focus on broadband. So ... if you have a phone connection you might find some of the files might too large to download.

Some legal notes: All works on the site are licensed by the copyright holders under Creative Commons licenses.

Our standard license at ACRO is non-commercial | by attribution. That means you can remix and reuse the works here in any way without permission as long as it is not for a commercial purpose and you attribute the copyright owner in the new work. If you do want use the materials on this site for commercial purposes, you must negotiate agreements withcopyright owners.
