Welcome. I am Professor in Communication at the Queensland University of Technology Creative Industries Faculty , On the side, I also co-Edit Critical Discourse Studies, play music; write stuff about, to, and with people; and generally fill my days with as much enjoyable things as possible.

This site might be useful if you are interested in communication, politics, social theory, stupidity, the strange and varied goings on in the world, discourse analysis, advertising, political economy of communication, media history .... or perhaps you are a student who is unfortunate enough to have me as your teacher and now need to see what madness you are in for.

Or perhaps you have lost your way on the world wide web ... Whichever it is, since you are here, welcome once again. Feel free to send comments, insults, or whatever.
